Creativity training
Creativity training and innovation are often associated with one another. Many studies have shown that those who engage in creative activities tend to be much more innovative than those who do not. This is especially true when it comes to problem-solving skills. The results of these studies of the "creativity gap" point to three main findings. First, creativity training frequently is highly effective, especially given the inherently complex nature of the task in question. Second, the complexity of problems faced can vary widely, from extremely complex to extremely simple; hence, not only did a wide positive impact on test scores result from an overall test score, but even smaller positive impacts were observed across several different measures of creativity (e.g., divergent thinking, unverifiable or self-limiting answers, creative problem solving, innovative attitudes, and increased performance on standardized testing).
